The Art & Frame Station is the custom framing store in Birmingham. The Frame Shop is located at 215 Peabody Street. The owner has created a 100% Michigan business that specializes in the highest quality custom framing, and showcases local Michigan Artists and craftsman. The shop has been in the same location for many years giving the residents of Birmingham and the surrounding Metro Detroit area benefit of award winning designs. The Art & Frame Station has been featured in the Oakland Press, Observer and Eccentric, Birmingham Eagle, Detroit News and other great publications. The Art & Frame Station continues to offer the highest quality custom framing, beautiful artwork from some of Michigan’s top artists and Michigan made gifts, crafts, and collectables.
Artists whose work is showcased at The Art & Frame Station of Birmingham's Art Gallery include, Kathleen Chaney Fritz , Randall Higdon, Slaw, Michael Glenn Monroe, George Booth, Paul Adams, Terry Tracy, John Farr, Brian Mckelvey, Bruce Langdon, Durwood Coffey, Vanessa Sales, Linda Baker and Ann Kelly among many others. The art in the gallery ranges from original oil paintings, lithographs and watercolors to limited edition prints, antique hand colored prints and open edition prints and posters. The Art & Frame Station even carries some of the top local photographers’ work, including works by Gavin Smith ( the Detroit Lions team photographer), George Booth and Nan Wattles. The frame shop also sells Cutting Boards by Jim Leonard of Birmingham Mi.
National artists and craftsmen are also represented in the gallery at The Art & Frame Station. They include photography by Martha Stuart, works by Beatrix Potter, Holly Sue Foss, Trisha Romance and Edward Aldrich. The Art & Frame Station also carries Woodwick candles and diffusers, Alexandria Lamps, H&K wine caddie sculptures, What A Crock pottery and more.

The Art & Frame Station carries many Michigan Made gifts, crafts and collectables such as beautiful candles from the Davisburg Candle Factory. Other well known Michigan products in stock at The Art & Frame Station are an array of cherry products from Cherry Republic such as dried cherries, cherry syrup and chocolate covered cherries. Soaps from Frankenmuth soap maker , and dip and glaze mixes from Lansing’s Pam’s Pantry can also be found at The Art & Frame Station. Hand painted glassware, hand thrown pottery and hand crafted cards from local Michigan artists can be found throughout the store. Exclusive to the Art & Frame Station is West Bloomfield, Mi. artist Melissa's Jewelry by Melissa and Photography by David Rich of Troy Michigan.
Sports and college themed gifts also abound at The Art & Frame Station. Dishes, piggy banks, cheese plates, magnets, Santa Claus and picture frames in school colors of Michigan, Michigan State and Ohio State are all available. The Detroit Red Wings, Tigers Pistons and yes even the Lions have item bearing their logos and colors on sale here. Jersey shadow boxes are always available along with some rare and beautifully framed signed pieces of sports memorabilia.
Above all else The Art & Frame Station is a custom frame shop, and not just any custom frame shop. The Art and Frame Station is the leader in conservation framing in the metro area. The Art & Frame Station's award winning designers are always looking to create the most spectacular design for every framing job that comes through the door, residential framing and/or installation and commercial framing and/or installation. The Art & Frame Station team can make even children’s artwork look like it belongs in the Louvre. The Art & Frame Station uses only conservation grade glass, backing and matting to preserve your artwork for generations to come.
Mouldings from the top companies such as Larson Juhl, Nurre Caxton, International Moulding, Bella Moulding, Roma Moulding, and The Biltmore Collection can be paired with mats from Crescent, Artique or Nielson Bainbridge. These mat boards are all acid free and made of archival quality materials. Also available are frames from AMCI, AMPF, DéCor Moulding, Frank’s Fabrics, Raphael, Concerto and Inline Ovals. Local moulding suppliers such as Wixom’s Englesen Moulding and Nelson’s Moulding of Traverse City add to the Made in Michigan theme. The glass and acrylic used by The Art & Frame Station is supplied by Tru View and is available in Conservation Clear, Reflection control and Museum grades; all are conservation grade with UV protection. The Art & Frame Station uses foam core backing that is acid free. The Art and Frame Station team will never use cardboard to back even the cheapest poster.
